# System Setup Guides

Prepare, configure, and test each Accounting System supported by API.1.

Each Accounting System has different requirements for test access, vendor applications, credentials, and production approval. These guides describe the parts that differ by system and link back to the shared [System Settings](/client-portal/systems/system-settings.md) workflow.

System Settings are the standard setup path for new integrations wherever supported. If a system does not yet expose System Settings, its guide documents the current Zwapgrid-managed process instead.

**System Setting** means that you configure the credentials or connection options supported by that system. **Current Zwapgrid-managed setup** means that System Settings are not yet exposed for that system; follow the existing process until a client-managed setup becomes available or Zwapgrid agrees a migration with you.

## Shared testing checklist

For every system:

1. Use a test company that contains no real personal or financial data.
2. Configure the minimum permissions needed by your API.1 and Proxy.1 operations.
3. Create a Development Consent and complete the Onboarding Flow.
4. Test every read and write operation your product will use.
5. Record any vendor approval or reauthorisation requirements before production rollout.

The endpoint support matrix is maintained separately in [Systems in the grid](/systems-in-the-grid.md).

## Connect from your backend

See [Headless Onboarding (Preview)](/onboarding-flow/headless-onboarding.md) for the workflow and per-system authorization, request bodies and recovery. These setup guides remain the starting point for application registration and credentials.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.zwapgrid.com/client-portal/systems/setup-guides.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
