# Bokio

Create a Bokio test application and configure its Zwapgrid System Setting.

Bokio is a cloud-accounting product for small businesses. Zwapgrid uses a client-managed Bokio application, so publish a System Setting before onboarding a Bokio company.

## Create a Bokio test application

1. Sign in to the [Bokio Developer Portal](https://dev.bokio.se/).
2. Select **Create New Application**.
3. Enter a clear application name and description.
4. Register the callback URL provided by the Zwapgrid System Setting.
5. Select **Test mode** while developing.
6. Store the Client ID and Client Secret securely.

Bokio recommends testing public integrations in a test company. In Bokio, open the company menu and select **Create a test company**, then add representative data.

## Configure Zwapgrid

1. In the Client Portal, open **Systems → Bokio → Configure**.
2. Create a System Setting for the test application.
3. Enter the Bokio Client ID and Client Secret.
4. Verify that the callback URL matches the Bokio application exactly.
5. Save, review, and publish the setting.

See [System Settings](/client-portal/systems/system-settings.md) for the shared workflow and lifecycle rules.

## Test and move to production

1. Create a Development Consent using the published test setting.
2. Connect the Bokio test company through the [Onboarding Flow](/onboarding-flow/onboarding-flow.md).
3. Test all required API.1 and Proxy.1 operations.
4. Follow Bokio's production-app process when the integration is ready.
5. Create a separate Zwapgrid System Setting for production credentials.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Do not place real financial data in a Bokio test company. Bokio currently describes its API as beta, so review its documentation and changelog before production releases.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.zwapgrid.com/client-portal/systems/setup-guides/bokio.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
