What is the first step to seeking consent?

Verification

A partner must first send a request to a customer, requesting consent to access their data using API.1. The customer will be directed to the API.1 platform in order to verify that they are happy to grant consent.

If the customer already exists

If the customer already exists in API.1 (for example, if they are already using API.1 to grant consent to another partner) then they will be prompted to log in.

If the customer does not exist

If the customer does not exist, they will first be prompted to sign up, in order to grant their consent in API.1.
